Information for Presenters

Oral Presentation Information

All presentation files should be brought to the Speaker Ready Room and uploaded into the central system no later than 16.00 on the day prior to your presentation, with the exception of Wednesday’s presentations which can be brought between 07.00 and 07.45 on Wednesday.

Speaker Ready Room Hours:

  • Tuesday 12 May 18.00 – 20.00
  • Wednesday 13 May 07.00 – 17.00
  • Thursday 14 May 07.00 – 17.00
  • Friday 15 May 07.00 – 17.00
  • Saturday 16 May 08.00 – 11.30

In order to ensure the smooth running of the presentations, speakers are advised the following:

  1. You will need to include a short disclosure statement on the second slide of your presentation, declaring any conflicts of interest.
  2. Speakers are requested to be in their session room 10 minutes before the start of the session, and introduce themselves to the chairs of the session.
  3. Each lecture has been assigned 15 minutes: 8 minutes per presentation and 7 minutes for discussion.
  4. Please check the schedule carefully for your session time and order of presentations.
  5. The chairperson will monitor your presentation timekeeping.
  6. No personal computers will be allowed.
  7. All presentations should be in PowerPoint, format 16:9.
  8. Please check all your videos run properly with the support team before your presentation.
  9. Speakers will be provided with a wireless microphone and a clicker with a laser pointer for use in their presentations.
  10. Speakers are requested to familiarise themselves with the room prior to the presentation.

 

Moderated Oral Poster Presentation Information

All presentation files should be brought to the Speaker Ready Room and uploaded into the central system no later than 16.00 on the day prior to your presentation.

  • Wednesday 13 May 07.00 – 17.00
  • Thursday 14 May 07.00 – 17.00
  • Friday 15 May 07.00 – 17.00
  • Saturday 16 May 08.00 – 11.30

In addition, your work will be presented as a poster, which will be on display throughout the whole meeting in a specifically designated area.

All posters should be formatted:
Vertically/standing, of standard size A1: high 84,1cm x wide 59,4 cm
.
(Size of the poster board is: high 90 cm x wide 80 cm, which means absolute maximum size for a poster)

During the conference, poster presenters are responsible for attaching their poster to their assigned poster panel. Pins and stickers will be provided. Posters should be mounted on the appropriately numbered board on Wednesday 13 May from 08.00 to 16.00 and taken down on Friday 17 May from 16.00 to 18.00. Any posters not collected by then will be discarded. To allow easier identification of the author, we suggest you include a photograph (ideally 6 cm x 9 cm) on the poster header. It is also a good idea to pin an envelope to the bottom of the board for the receipt of business cards and messages and/or make mini copies of your poster which can be taken away by other delegates. It is requested that poster authors are available at the poster during all coffee breaks and lunches.
